The calender of Live Events at BIE will inspire and educate by demonstrating the skills of the best personalities, products, and equipment in the baking industry.

New! Craft Bakers Shop:

This is a brand new area to the Show that can help independent bakers to increase their retail offering leading to more profit. Bakers are increasingly offering customers a wider range of products to increase the footfall and average spend of their customers. This area is dedicated to retail products that you can sample and place into your shops with the aim to increase your revenue.

The Theatre:

Future Baker of the Year
Also on the area, California Raisins are back with their Future Baker of the Year competition. The Live Event will take place on each of the 4 days of the Show and is open to teams of 3 people working from colleges or companies that are working towards a recognised national bakery qualification. Bakery Live:

After the success of the Bakery Live in 2008, it's back to help improve your company's product range and profitability. A fully functioning bakery that will be producing exciting new products as well as old favourites. Some of the nation's best bakery demonstrators will be using the latest machines and raw materials from Europe's finest ingredient and equipment suppliers.

Louis Lesaffre Competition
BIE's Live Bakery will be the setting for an exciting bakery event as talented bakers show off their skills to see who will be selected to be part of the UK national team for the Louis Lesaffre Cup.  More information


The BSB and BIE Dinner:

The BSB and BIE Dinner, Monday 22nd March, Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club

A superb all inclusive 4 course dinner with red and white wine, coffee, tea and after dinner mints has been arranged by the British Society of Baking in conjunction with BIE2010, including having the well known sports commentator Garry Richardson as the after dinner speaker. While Garry is very well known in the sporting world, he is also highly regarded and sought after as an interesting and very humorous after dinner speaker.
